Lupus eritematoso sistémico: el lobo domado

2008
No disease has attracted the attention of more medical specialties than systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). As of the first fortnight of June 2008, there are 50,969 references on SLE in the Scopus database, of which 7,286 are reviews. In this issue of MEDICINA & LABORATORIO two renowned "lupologists" review what this syndrome is. However, this is not just another review, since the experience of those who write it, supported by the large number of their own references, guarantees a privileged update, as if it were a medical round at the Hospital Clinico de Barcelona, where they work. Jose Gomez-Puerta (Colombian) and Ricard Cervera (Catalan), authors of the review.
