Spin observables for inelastic scattering of polarized deuterons off nuclei
1994
Abstract Inelastic scattering of polarized deuterons is considered as a tool of studying isoscalar spin-dependent responses of nuclei. Cross section is decomposed into those parts which are characterized by definite spin-transfer values and are expressed in terms of polarization observables. Relation of nuclear response functions to polarization observables is given within the plane-wave impulse approximation.
