Die Entwicklung von Getrieben und Kupplungen

2001
The design and layout of a ship’s propulsion is closely connected to its duty and purpose. Protection before steadystate and transient overloads is in the centre of the dynamic analysis. Separation by means of fluid-couplings or turned flexible couplings determine the gear- and shaftline-loadings. Branched gears with out- or inside arranged clutches increase possible operation-modes. The antivibration mounting of engines and gears reduce significantly the structural noise and vibration-profile. Progress in material-properties and advanced calculation tools improve the power-to-weight-ratio and the cargo. Redundant propulsion-systems offer more safety.
