The invention discloses a vehicle control unit for an unmanned electric vehicle. The vehicle control unit comprises a microprocessor, a switching value collecting module, a switching value output module, a background debug mode (BDM) debugging interface, a power source module, an analog quantity collecting module, an analog quantity output module, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) output module, a data storage module, a wireless transceiving module and a global position system (GPS) module. By adopting integration design and using an integral device to replace a discrete element to perform signal processing and output, electrical connection is reduced, electromagnetic interference generated during working of the vehicle control unit is reduced, and anti-interference performance and reliability of the finished vehicle in the complex environment are improved; and the designed PWM output module can perform control on a motor, a motor controller does not need to be developed independently, development and design cost is saved, automatic driving and human remote control driving of unmanned driving vehicles can be achieved, vehicle data can be recorded and transmitted timely, vehicles can be positioned timely, and the vehicle control unit for the unmanned electric vehicle has the advantages of being compact in structure, reliable in performance, strong in tailoring performance, high in accuracy, convenient to control and the like.
