Gamma-ray spectroscopic study of 101Ag
1980
Abstract Excited states in 101 Ag have been investigated using the 102 Pd(p, 2nγ), 92 Mo( 12 C, p2nγ) and the 102 Pd( 3 He, p3nγ) reactions and employing standard γ-ray spectroscopic techniques. In addition to the known negative-parity multiplet structure built on top of the 1 2 − isomeric state, a set of 17 new levels was found presumably with positive parity. Definite spin and parity assignments in the range of 11 2 + − 23 2 + could be made for 7 levels and tentative assignments for 5 levels. All these levels decay subsequently to the 9 2 + ground state. A comparison of the level structure and decay properties of the 101–107 Ag isotopes reveals a distinct decrease of collectivity in the approach towards the closed N = 50 shell.
