An Answer of an Orthodox Missiologist to the Question “Stolen Churches” or “Bridges to Orthodoxy”?

This chapter encourages the discussion over ecclesiological and canonical problems between the Orthodox and the Eastern Catholics as a way not to escape the missiological perspective but, rather, focus on it. According to the Concept of the Revival of the Missionary Activity of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), reconciliation is one of the five directions of the mission. In the face of increasing secularization and globalization, collaboration in missionary projects can prove an efficient tool for reconciliation. Given the presence of a common threat, namely, fundamentalist enthusiasm in our churches, it makes sense to work together, learning from each other in order to overcome the temptation of fundamentalism.
