The invention discloses a device and method for achieving video image tiled display by the adoption of a parallel processing mode. The device and method for achieving the video image tiled display by the adoption of the parallel processing mode comprises a control unit, an image segmentation unit, a video format detection unit and at least two groups of follow-up units. Each group of follow-up units comprises an image processing unit, an interface unit and a terminal display unit. Output ends of the image segmentation unit are respectively connected with input ends of the follow-up units; image processing units, interface units and terminal display units in the follow-up units are sequentially connected. According to the device and method for achieving the video image tiled display, video image signals are first segmented, images are processed, a parallel processing mode is conducted on image processing portions, processing speed is higher, videos are more smoothly displayed, and the heat dissipation effect of a system is better. A plurality of independent image processing units are adopted, and therefore the consistency of the tiled display effect can be guaranteed and the consistency of the tiled display effect is more conveniently adjusted.
