With social and cultural progress, it is of vital importance for the institution and the country to reflect on the tools and strategies that can be taken to safeguard the integrity of the members of the National Police, in this essay, an approach is made based on the Risk-based critical thinking perspective, from the gestation of the police student, where training schools have the fundamental mission of providing the DNA of basic competencies, integrated into a curriculum that contributes to the purpose of improving acting in professionalization reflected in the effectiveness of the service to achieve the consolidation of social trust, that is, that the citizen trusts in the capacity and effectiveness of his police, therefore the importance of commitment in the training processes, managing to modify the actions of the uniformed men, impregnating risk-based thinking in all their activities, with forceful actions against that of the it is transparent, preventive, applying police mediation so as not to violate criminal matters, especially close to the citizen, to ensure citizen coexistence and security. We will advance, within the framework of several tools that over time have strengthened and contributed strategies to improve strategic planning, quality, innovation, modernization and even the transformation of education, so that in the future the police officer from his first steps in the professional practice have incorporated critical thinking based on risks and carry out their activities with agility and analytical reaction for proper crisis management and assertive communication, which reflect good labor practices, strengthening the strategic planning and operational tactics of the service of cop. Therefore, this text wants to join the efforts of the area of ​​prevention of risk materialization in the National Police, which carries out conferences and campaigns throughout the Colombian territory, without forgetting the fundamental aspect of our police officers in training to teach them to think about risks, analyze possible root causes and implement activities for the design of controls. This constitutes a new permanent vital dimension that allows us to make uncertain situations visible and anticipate actions to reduce the possibility of not effectively achieving the objectives and facilitating continuous improvement, in order to comprehensively improve everything that leads to mitigating the materialization of the objectives risks.
