2011
This workshop submission points at the elephant in the room asking, “Is HCI interactional privacy scholarship influencing ‘real-world’ interaction design?” The authors briefly recount exemplar insights from the large body of HCI privacy scholarship, question the impact of this work beyond academic projects, and outline a project at the University of British Columbia situated to identify, describe, and perhaps help remove the pachyderm from the room.
