Preparation, formation mechanism of V3O7•H2O single-crystal nanobelts

2020
Abstract V3O7·H2O single-crystal nanobelts was successfully synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method using VOSO4·2H2O as raw material. The crystal structure and morphology of the nanobelts were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, and the formation mechanism was studied. The length of the nanobelts was about several micron to 40 μm. What's more, the average width was about 100–150 nm, and the thickness was about 20–30 nm. The possible formation mechanism of the synthesis of vanadium oxides nanobelts was proposed. The formation mechanism was summarized as the dissolution-oxidation-peel-sheet process.
