Research of the relief and element composition of the surface coatings based on hydroxyapatite implants from titanium alloys

2016
The results of the investigation of the surface morphology, phase and element composition of coatings based on hydroxyapatite on the implant of Ti-6Al-4V alloy formed by a plasma method are presented in the article. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray and X-ray analysis were used to study the morphology of the coatings, its phase and element composition. It is shown that hydroxyapatite coatings on the surface of implants from titanium alloys obtained by plasma spray coating technologies have characteristics of the coatings allowing its use as medical implants.
