A radio access network apparatus includes: means that determines a discontinuous reception state, means that determines a discontinuous reception channel, means that reports the determined discontinuous reception channel to the mobile station, and means that, when transmission data arises, transmits a control signal using the determined discontinuous reception channel and that transmits traffic data using a corresponding shared data channel.
