Research on terrain texture transition algorithm based on similarity

To solve the problems that the obvious seams while heterogeneous texture images mosaic effectively,one texture transition algorithm is put forward based on the similarity.On the process of generating three-dimensional terrain scene based on the vector digital maps,with the color between heterogeneous texture images as constraints,this algorithm calculates the width of fusion and disposition region,and achieve smoothly transition results in edges after texture images mosaic of non-overlapping regions.Furthermore,compared the results of simulation experiments with traditional splicing algorithms demonstrate that advantages in the domain of dealing with transition effects of heterogeneous texture images,which has provided one way of increasing the sense of realism in large-scale virtual reality environments.
