Aspectos morfológicos dos componentes do funículo espermático do veado-mateiro (Mazama americana)
2011
To study morphological aspects of spermatic cords of the adult deer (Mazama americana) for a better knowledge breaks of the morphology of the reproduction apparatus. Methods - A histological study of three spermatic cord pairs stained with hematoxylin-eosin,Picro-sirius, Masson, Mallory, Gordon and Verhoeff was used. Results - It was observed that its components were enveloped by a mesothelium capsule. Under this capsule, there was connective tissue and adipose tissue. Among the components there were dense connective tissue and adipose tissue. The testicular artery is sinuous, consisting of an inner layer formed by endothelium and an inner limiting elastic membrane, a middle layer formed by a thick smooth muscle layer supported by reticular fibers and an outer layer consisting of dense connective tissue contiguous to intervascular tissue and the adventitia layers of the veins. The testicular veins form the pampiniform plexus which totally surrounds the artery, presenting irregular lumens, with no valves and a middle layer formed by a thin smooth muscle layer supported by a irregular chain of reticular fibers. The duct deferens is located at the periphery. Conclusion - Achieved findings lead to the conclusion of a histological studyof spermatic cords of the deer, its components were enveloped by a capsule, the testicular veins form the pampiniform plexus which totally surrounds the testicular artery, among the components there were dense connective tissue and adipose tissue.(AU)
