Enterprise Architecture for Healthcare Information Exchange (HIE) Cloud Migration

Ensuring a timely transfer of health records is an essential function of Health Information Exchange (HIE). However, HIEs face several challenges in accomplishing this due to the variety of health data, frequency in healthcare events, constraints in managing health data transfer, etc. To address such challenges, HIEs are working to leverage cloud technologies in the storage and processing of health data. In this article, we propose an Enterprise Architecture (EA) that supports the migration of HIEs to a cloud infrastructure.
