Competencias sociocognitivas en la educación superior desde la percepción de los estudiantes

Training professionals capable of joining the labor market and growing comprehensively with certain possibilities of success poses challenges for universities that should not be ignored and that involves balance in the promotion of cognitive and socio-emotional competencies; Based on the above, this research investigates the perception that university students have built regarding the domain of socio-cognitive competences, with the purpose of diagnosing the profile of this type of skills to infer areas of intervention in the design of strategies aimed at favoring academic, professional and personal training; For this, from the quantitative tradition, with a descriptive scope and using the survey as a means for data collection, a questionnaire built on a Likert scale was applied, composed of 80 items, with four response options, to a sample of 243 students from five training programs. Bachelor's degree from the Facultad de Contaduria y Administracion of the Universidad de Chiapas; in general, the results indicate that students perceive themselves to be highly proficient in the nine competencies analyzed, highlighting problem solving as the best weighted, howeverthere are areas for improvement in those related to creativity and innovation, adaptability and flexibility, management of conflicts and Self-Assessment.
