Deuterium isotope separation by tunable-laser predissociation of formaldehyde

1979
Abstract A tunable ultraviolet laser has been used to investigate the deuterium enrichment resulting from the photopredissociation of formaldehyde. An enrichment factor of 254 ± 30 has been measured at 345.6 nm starting from a 4 Torr sample of natural formaldehyde.
