Properties of elements of the welded rotor of steel 25Kh2NMFA after final heat treatment

1. The special cooling conditions in hardening ensure fairly uniform distribution of the strength properties in both sections of the investigated blank of the shank. 2. The impaired ductility and impact toughness in the zones near the axial channel and at 1/2 wall thickness have to do with the unsatisfactory quality of the metal of the axial zone of the large ingot. 3. On the whole the quality of the blank of the shank satisfies the requirements of the technical conditions for elements of welded rotors of low-speed turbines in regard to all characteristics.
