Numerical analysis for the SAR variation due to positioning errors at 2100 MHz

The study analyzes the dosimetric variation due to the misalignment of the device under test (DUT) during numerically evaluation of specific absorption rate (SAR). The novelty of the research is to discuss the individual effect of the six misalignment directions to the SAR variation. In this work, five DUT models are generated. Finite-difference time-domain method is applied according to the specification of IEC 62704. The results indicate that the different misalignment directions have different impacts on the SAR variation. The finding reveals that it may be necessary to assign different weight factors to different misalignment directions in evaluating the uncertainty.
