Difficult Diagnosis and Differentials to a Solid Pancreatic Tumour

A solid pancreatic tumours may represent malignancy, benign neoplasia, inflammation, or normal or anomalic anatomy. CA19-9 and IgG4 biomarkers, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging combined with endoscopic ultrasound guided sampling are sufficient for majority of patients. Awareness of different diagnostic options may help to guide treatment and avoid unnecessary surgery.
