Stable single channel formation in long scale plasma for fast ignition

We observe a single plasma channel in long scale plasma created on the plane target. Smaller electron divergence and enhancement on moderate energy electrons are obtained than those from plane target. The experimental results also show that slight laser energy is used for the channel formation and the conversion efficiency to electrons is comparable to the plane target. These results imply efficient heating at "Super-Penetration" fast ignition.
