Marketing Strategy Support System for Small Businesses

We introduce a prescriptive analytics system, that is, a marketing strategy support system, to provide small business with advice for their future business actions. The system links between multidimensional information, such as sales information, mentions in social media, current situation, floating population, and consumption style of families in hinterland, with geographical information, and utilizes them to make the analytics. These data might be huge and called 'big data'. Using the big data, the system analyzes the past and present management situation of a small business, makes predictions on potential customers and future revenue, and finally provide business scenarios to support strategies for achieving target revenue based on prescriptive analytics. Providing prescriptive analytics for forecasting and decision-making support based on big data, this system is expected to reduce risks of an uncertain future.
