O impacto do excesso de trabalho e turno na unidade de terapia intensiva

Objective: To identify the impact and influence of overwork and shift in the Intensive Care Unit. (ICU) Methods: Review literature with 11 articles searched in databases:(LILACS) Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences, (BDENF) Nursing Databases. Results: The imposition of society and work overload for professionals  to reach a standard of living, contribute to the development  especially in the ICU, interfering in the activities performed and bringing future complications to the health of the worker besides helping to the occurrence of  pathologies and accidents at work. Final considerations: Night work, in addition to allowing the performance of duties performed by health professionals, can have harmful effects on workers' health due to stressors. Night service has a very fast pace and with a lot of activities that contribute to the change in the work. their routine suffering great shake in their professional experience and consequence in their health.
