A Synchrophasor Estimation of Power Systems under Out-of-band Interference

Synchrophasor estimation in power systems provides reliable information exchange basis for energy internet, yet the out-of-band interference (OOBI) in power signals will reduce the phasor estimation accuracy. Based on an enhanced phasor model, a synchrophasor estimation under OOBI is proposed in this paper. With the help of the pre-estimated fundamental frequency and OOBI frequency, which are both calculated by the historical phasors from discrete Fourier transform with various filtering frequencies, the accurate fundamental phasor and frequency can finally be achieved by the solved Taylor derivatives. The proposed estimation is verified to be valid under the 10% OOBI tests required by the IEEE Standard C37.118.1-2011 through the simulation results, with a reasonable increment in computation.
