The investigation of bone mineral density of different sites in 268 women with osteoporosis

2007
Objective Investigating the diagnostic ratio in different sites of osteoporosis patients, enriching the diagnosis data and consummating the diagnosis standard of osteoporosis in our country. Methods 268 women suffered from primary osteoporosis treated in our outpatient department were randomly chosen to analyze their bone mineral density of lumbar spine and coxa. The T-Score of every part were estimated. The objectives contained L_1-L_4, coxa, femoral neck, femoral trochanter, femoral trochanter inter, Ward's. The T≤-2.5 SD was used. Results There were 238 cases of lumbar spine, 63 cases of coxa, 176 cases of femoral neck, 39 cases of femoral trochanter, 40 cases of femoral inter, 209 cases of Ward's with bone mineral density of T≤-2.5 SD.Conclusions The relevance ratio of osteoporosis differed in different bone sites among women of various age. When the osteoporosis was diagnosed, other reference data of the patients should be considered, so that we can have a comprehensive evaluation.
