Antenna modelling using discrete Green's function formulation of FDTD method
1999
In a recent paper by the authors (see ibid., vol. 35, no. 7, p. 554-5, 1999), the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method was re-formulated in terms of discrete convolution, using the analytical solution of the discrete Green's function (DGF), and applied to a 2D scattering example. This algorithm has now been fully implemented in 3D to solve scattering and antenna problems in the time domain while retaining full compatibility with Yee's FDTD algorithm.
