Design of an Automated Test Tool Based on Interface Protocol

2019
With the continuous development of Internet technology, software interface protocols, as the carrier of interaction between software systems, have received more and more attention from the industry. Testing software systems through interface protocols is an important way to verify software quality. However, the existing interface-based test methods have shortcomings such as long test data preparation time, high overhead, insufficient coverage, and difficulty in reuse. In this paper, a meta-model of interface protocol is proposed, and its formal specification is given. An automatic test tool based on interface protocol is implemented. Practice shows that the tool is suitable for a variety of communication interfaces, and has the characteristics of small overhead, easy to reuse, and easy to expand.
