Design of battery management system based on DSP for BEV

2017
This paper proposed a design method for battery management system of battery electrical vehicle based on DSP. With DSP as the core controller, the system achieves voltage acquisition of Li-ion battery pack, current collection, temperature acquisition, active equilibrium, Batter State of Charge (SOC) estimation and Controller Area Network (CAN). Active equilibrium guarantees the consistency of battery. Insulation monitoring oversees the insulation condition of battery electric vehicle. As CAN bus circuit is designed with electromagnetic compatibility and the idea of isolation, it has a capacity of shielding electromagnetic interference on normal operation of the system. Thus, the system performance is improved. SOC estimation ensures the security and mileage range for battery cells of electrical vehicle. The developed host machine enables the accessibility of real-time data of battery pack.
