This is a timely publication that addresses the important topic of containment of medical care costs and improvement in general health and fitness of the work force in order to improve productivity and decrease costs that are health or injury related. This is a comprehensive volume covering all aspects of health promotion and contains state-of-the-art descriptions of these programs. It is well organized, and, despite the fact that it has 30 contributing authors, each author's contribution is balanced with the general theme of the text and there is a minimum of repetition.
