Satellite spectrometer BUFS-2 for ozone measurements by back-scattering

Abstract Spectrometer BUFS-2 has been designed to determine the total ozone content and its height distribution from satellite measurements of direct and scattered by the Earth solar ultraviolet radiation. It was installed on the artificial satellite Meteor-3 which was put into a near-polar orbit in Yuly 1988.
