Design and Analysis of $2\times 4$ Planar Array Antenna with Beam Steering Facility

This paper presents the design and simulation results of a $2 \times 4$ planar array antenna with effective beam steering capabilities for 5.8 GHz applications. The maximum gain developed by the 2 × 4 planar antenna array is 6.7664 dB. The simulated $\boldsymbol{s}_{11}$ parameter is −28.6290 dB using HFSS. The electromagnetic radiation pattern with angles of scanning range for beam steering of the antenna are simulated with MATLAB.
