The present invention discloses a method for achieving an extended range of six-dimensional force and torque sensor comprising a strain gauge is located on the elastomer and elastomer; elastomer comprises four fixed station, a loading station and the center four beam elements, each beam elements laid in between two adjacent fixed stations; each beam element includes an outer floating beam, the elastic beam and the floating beams, inner beams and outer float floating beams parallel to each other to form a pair of double beams, two double beam ends are fixedly connected to the two adjacent side walls of the fixing table, the elastic beam perpendicular to the dual-beam, and the end of the elastic beam is fixedly connected to the inner wall of the outer floating beam, the other end of the elastic beam is fixedly connected to a loading station at the center on the side wall; gage six groups, attached elastic beam; each group consisting of a strain gage full Wheatstone bridge. The six-dimensional force and torque sensor, without changing the outer dimensions of the sensor condition, effective to increase its range, to expand its stiffness.
