Influence of Hydrogen Sulfide Containing Atmospheres on the Physical and Mechanical Properties of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Anode Materials
2019
The solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) may be fuelled by a variety of fuels such as natural gas, oil-derived gases and liquids, pure ammonia, and synthesis gases from coal and biomass gasification. This is possible mainly due to the high operating temperature (600-1000 ℃) enabling the SOFC to both internally reform light hydrocarbons and electrochemically oxidize CO in addition to hydrogen. In this work, the effect of hydrogen sulfide content in a hydrogenous atmosphere on the structure, physical, and mechanical properties of SOFC anode materials has been studied.
