Method and apparatus for the solvent-free preparation of acrylic PSAs

The invention relates to a process for the solvent-free preparation of acrylic PSAs, comprising (a) continuously coating a mixture containing one or more photoinitiators and a monomer mixture comprising (i) 70 to 100 wt .-% of compounds from the group of (meth) acrylic acid and derivatives thereof according to the following general formula Wherein R (Ii) 0 to 30 wt .-% of olefinically unsaturated monomers containing functional groups; and (iii) optionally, other components, or a prepolymer of this monomer mixture onto a process liner; (B) polymerizing the coated mixture by irradiating the coated sections of the process liner with visible or ultraviolet light; (C) separating the polymer from the process liner and shaping of the polymer; (D) transferring the polymer into a mixing device; (E) mixing the polymer with further components in a mixing device; and (f) further processing in step (e) the obtained polymer component mixture.
