VARIEDADES DE CANA-DE-AÇÚCAR PARA A ALIMENTAÇÃO ANIMAL NO BAIXO PARNAÍBA MARANHENSE

2017
ABSTRACT: The Brazilian livestock is characterized by the fact that the pasture occurs mostly, where climatic factors have a direct influence. Fodder estaionality is one of the main obstacles affecting animal feed production. The objective of this study was to evaluate the nutritional value of three varieties of sugarcane for animal feed. The present work was developed in the experimental area of the Federal University of Maranhao, Center of Agrarian and Environmental Sciences. Three varieties with ages of 10 months were used: RB 92579, RB867515 and RB 863129, which were evaluated over 4 cycles. The design was completely randomized, with arrangement in a subdivision 3x4 (three varieties x four years). The dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), acid detergent fiber (FAD), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), Brix and NDF ratio were evaluated. / Brix. The varieties showed values very close to the recommended chemical-nutritional parameters, but the variety RB 92679 showed better forage and productive potential.
