Method using vehicle controller for battery management of electric vehicle

The invention discloses a method using a vehicle controller for battery management of an electric vehicle, the vehicle controller performs, from the point of vehicle control, all-sided comprehensive operation processing according to the vehicle state, and according to the to-be-realized function demands of a vehicle on a running battery pack, performs corresponding function strategy and algorithm processing on the battery pack; the vehicle controller sends operation results to a battery management system, the battery management system executes commands of the vehicle controller and feeds back the executed results to the vehicle controller; the vehicle controller analyzes the fed-back results to determine whether to continue a battery management procedure, and if necessary, the vehicle controller continues issuing execution commands to a battery management system load; and after the battery management system and the load both complete the execution commands, the procedure is over, and the vehicle controller quits the procedure. According to the method, control functions of the battery pack are integrated in the vehicle controller, the vehicle controller controls from the point of vehicle, so that the vehicle running is more smoothly and comfortable.
