Effect of group counseling on marital quality among young breast cancer patients

Objective To evaluate the effect of group counseling on marital quality among young breast cancer patients.Methods A total of 106 young breast cancer patients in our hospital were selected from October 2009 to October 2011.They were divided into 10 groups and received group counseling five times.The self-designed questionnaire and Olson Marital Quality Questionnaire were used.Results The marital satisfaction,couple communication and sex life factor were significantly improved after the group counseling(P 0.05).Conclusion Group counseling can relieve the physical and psychological trauma caused by breast cancer in young patients,and improve their marital quality.
