Model Predictive Control for Three-Phase Four-Wire Power Quality Control under Unbalanced Power Grid

2019
In the three-phase four-wire power distribution system under unbalanced power grid, the neutral line current generates zero sequence current due to increasing nonlinear and unbalanced loads. A model predictive control (MPC) strategy is proposed and applied to the split-capacitor-type structure. To compensate the zero-sequence current, an optimal voltage vector which can minimize the cost function is selected and then applied to the next period. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed control strategy has good practicability.
