Improved image quality on surveillance embedded IP camera by reducing noises

The development of surveillance camera technology begins to move from a traditional surveillance camera to an IP surveillance camera which can integrate to other device. On the traditional surveillance camera, its media storage usually applied by using a memory card. The use of this kind storage is not efficient because it requires a transfer mechanism of recorded data manually from the memory card to other media storage. The surveillance IP camera has the capability to transfer data based on Internet Protocol. However, maintaining complex media storage such as a storage server needs a financing. This financing can be decreased or also eliminated by utilizing the cloud storage service. The captured image by the surveillance camera sometimes can create noises. The noises are affected by a camera sensor because of the lack of the light in a room. The noises in the image can degrade an image quality. Denoising technique can be used to reduce these noises. Even so, the use of this technique can produce a blurred image. In this study, a surveillance embedded IP camera is going to be designed which can perform the image uploading process to the cloud storage and reduces the image noises automatically.
