Diesel engine exhaust gas is known to be one cause photochemical smog, which is so damaging to environments, However, because of its high thermal efficiency and economic advantages, the engine is not easily disappear. The purpose of this study was to develop a method for removing the particulate matter(PM) contained in diesel engine exhaust gas using the corona discharge processes. The exhaust gas characteristics and energy density were investigated on the dynamometer test bed and chassis dynamometer with CVS-75 mode with passenger diesel car. It was reported the smoke removal efficiency has around 70% in the dynamometer test with 80W energy consumption and PM removal efficiency has 68% in the real car test. Considering this results, plasma technology is one of the way to simultaneously removing method the diesel particulate matter(DPM).and NOx
