2019
Background: This study aimed to assess eventual disturbances of spatio-temporal end contextual memory in patient with stroke in order to better grasp these patient’s attitudes so as to track their neuropsychological accompaniments. Method: fifty-five (55) patients with stroke, after having traveled a loop, had to recognize among 27 pictures of the CHU of Cocody (Cote d’Ivoire) those belonging to the previously traveled path in the company of the experimenter. The pictures were presented to the participants. The participants had to say if "yes" or "no" the pictures presented belongs to the previously traveled path in the company of the experimenter. Then the photographs are presented by pair to the subject who is required to give the exact order of the photographs as seen on the route traveled. Results: When recognizing pictures with order effect, we found a significant difference (F (46) = 12.45, p = 0.0010) between the number of exact responses given by patients with stroke and that given by healthy controls subjects. Conclusion: patients with stroke were deficient in establishing the chronological order of succession of views.
