The article is devoted to A.V.Bolotov’s memoirs “Lord Novgorod the Great”, which presents an interesting information on the history of Novgorod in the late XIX early XX centuries. A particular attention is drawn to the work of the District Court and on the characteristics of the prosecutors’ individualities. A.V.Bolotov’s memoirs are a rare, virtually unexplored bibliographic source.
