Democracy Education: The Radical Teaching, Learning, and Doing of Tao Xingzhi

This year’s contribution to our International Literature section raises questions regarding the different Progressive influences on the work of Chinese educational activist Tao Xingzhi and provides a brief history of his unrelenting efforts to educate China’s rural classes during the first half of the 20th century.
