EVOLUTION OF FIRST ORDER MAGNETIC TRANSITIONS IN THE SOLID SOLUTION Cu1−xAgxMn3N

ABSTRACT The crystallographic and magnetic study coupled with previous results obtained from neutron diffraction enables us to distinguish three different types of behavior according to the composition in the solid solution Cu 1−x Ag x Mn 3 N. Two of them are similar to CuMn 3 N and AgMn 3 N presenting respectively tetragonal - cubic and cubic - cubic transitions. The third range of composition exhibits both types of transition.
