Efficient electroluminescence of distyrylarylene with hole transporting ability

1995
We report that organic electroluminescence devices with a hole transporting emitting layer composed of distyrylarylene derivatives realized highly efficient and bright emission in the blue‐green region. Luminous efficiency was obtained to be 2.1 lm/W in the low‐luminance region (135 cd/m2) using an indium tin oxide/emitting layer/electron transporting layer/Mg:Ag structure. The external quantum efficiency was estimated to be about 1.5%. The highest luminance was obtained to be 4000 cd/m2 for the device.
