Three-Year Impacts of Services and Work Incentives on Youth with Disabilities

This issue brief summarizes the findings in Mathematica’s final report on the evaluation of the Social Security Administration’s Youth Transition Demonstration projects, which provided employment-focused services and enhanced financial work incentives to youth with severe disabilities. Three of the six projects had statistically significant impacts on paid employment during the third year after youth enrolled in the evaluation.
