Implementation of a centralized mechanism to enrich the quality of nursing research within a children's hospital

Abstract High quality clinical inquiry is essential to provide leading care for patients and families. To ensure research teams are well positioned for success when initiating a new research study and applying for IRB review and approval we created a centralized process to register and track this work. A policy for project registration and nursing scientific review was created to support the process. The benefits of a centralized mechanism far outweigh the challenges.
