Complex Formation of Copper(II) Ions with Phthalate Ions in Non-Aqueous Solvents

Electronic spectra of copper(II) phthalate complexes in non-aqueous solvents were obtained. Stability constants of the complexes were determined. It was shown that the stability constants and the donor numbers of the solvents are in inverse relation to each other.
