METRO VANPOOL'S "RACK N' POOL" PROGRAM

In the Seattle area, a variety of partnerships has been created between employers, transit agencies and advocates of ridesharing and bicycling. The article looks at one successful partnership that combines bicycling and public transportation, where bike racks are installed on buses and public vanpool vans. Agencies and employers are targeting this equipment's distribution to those home-end and employment areas where bicycling is feasible.
