Transparent Optical Networking Transmission and Impairments Through 12 Distinct Optical Nodes

Experimental results are presented for transmission through 12 wavelength-layered optical add/drop and cross-connect nodes at 10.66 Gb/s with 38 channels. Filter and crosstalk effects are shown to be small.
